- Life - it's sacredness; all people have inherent value and deserve to be treated with dignity and respect; we oppose all forms of oppression, injustice and abuse as violations of the sanctity of life.
- Earth - our common home which we share with other people, animals, plants and natural resources. People have a unique responsibility to care for and steward Earth, to love, nurture and live in harmony with it and our fellow inhabitants. People have also made a unique and devastating impact on the planet; our responsibility does not go hand-in-hand with a right to exploit or mistreat anything on Earth for our sole gain or to the detriment of others.
- Relationships - are more important than things. They are key to how we fulfil our potential as human beings; through a personal relationship with God, in communities of relationship with each other and with the world. Every person’s life has unfolded uniquely and we are all works in progress, so we aim for our relationships to be characterised by love, grace and patience.
