These midweek evening gatherings are a priority to us as we connect and grow together outside of a Sunday morning context.
Disciples Assemble
Disciples Assemble is a monthly opportunity for us to grow in our identities, as disciples of Jesus, sons and daughters of the Father and as those filled, empowered and sent out in the power of the Holy Spirit.
We host these evenings on the third Tuesday of each month from 8pm. These are free evenings and open to all and are a great opportunity to build friendships with others from The River.
Prayer and Encounter Evenings
Our prayer and encounter evenings typically take place on the 1st Tuesday of the month and are a mix of sung worship, corporate prayer and prophetic ministry for individuals.

New Life Course
We are called to make disciples. At The River we take this seriously, recognising that whereas believers are born, disciples are made. We have an expectation that people will come into relationship with Jesus amongst us and so encourage those new believers to join with us on the New Life Course.
The New Life Course is a smaller group context which is interactive and relational. Participants have opportunity to get to know others, to ask questions in a safe environment and to grow in their faith as they consider topics such as Who is Jesus, prayer, guidance, telling others and the Church. The course runs weekly in six week blocks. Any new believers are welcome. Please contact us to find out more.
The River Essentials
This six part course is for anyone who is new to the river and is a great follow on for those who have been on the ‘new life’ course and all those who want to delve a little deeper in their faith and journey with us as a church. The first three sessions focus on two fundamental questions: Who is God and who am I?
If God is Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I can discover my brand new identity as one of His empowered, dearly loved children! The second half of the course invites us to consider what those truths mean for my relationship with God, with other people and as the basis for my purpose on planet earth. This course is also a really helpful place to further friendships with others.
